It was love at first site when we discovered this little gem. We have been in the microscope business for nearly 25 years and feel the Stereo XY mechanical stage is one of the best things to impact stereo microscopy in a good while. This is especially true if you need to scan small specimens or perform video or capture images for documentation. This stage is probably not for you if you are an anthroplologist and study large bones, etc. However, if your are currently viewing specimens that are the size of the circular glass plate on your stereo platform and you would like to have greater control in way you currently move your specimens then this is what you need.
The best way to describe how our stage will improve your use of the microscope is to first describe how stereo microscopes are used without a stage.Think for a moment how you move your specimen while viewing it through the eyepieces. Some specimens are placed in a petri type dish and then moved around manually until you find what you are looking for and then you zoom in. If you need to work at higher magnifications precision movement of your specimen becomes more tedious. If you have to go back to a particular specimen area it becomes a true search mission especially if you are at higher magnification. Going back and forth between different specimen areas can be time consuming and frustrating.
With our mechanical stage you will be able to overcome all these obstacles easier and attain your goals as well.
We sell stages for our compound laboratory microscopes as well. They are designed, built, and look just like our stereo stage but they cost $795 and up. You can have one of these XY stereo stages for half that cost at $395 and it includes our LifeTime Warranty.
